AH Saluq is sired by Egyptian stallion Simeon Sadik, bred in and imported from Australia. This is extreme multiple Nazeer breeding via EAO and Babolna (Hungarian) breeding. The black connection comes via the Galal line although it has skipped a number of generations before Simeon Sadik. Simeon Sadik is an in hand show champion of course and is siring his share of in hand show youngsters.
His sire, Asfour, has put the Simeon stud in Australia on the map with a phenomenal line up of exotic progeny that have resulted in him being regarded as a sire of significance in Egyptian breeding circles. AH Saluq's dam DP Black Sarong came to the UK from the USA and is of similar background, ultimately, to Malabar Prince. She is multiple bred to Babson Fa Serr lines and the Old Egyptian sire Hallanny Mistanny via Malabar breeding amongst others with a dash of CMK in the mix and she is a mare very much of this type.
